3.5 Miles Out and Back
548 Feet of Vert
No Dogs Allowed
It was a Sunday, so we knew the trail would be somewhat busy so we didn't even bother to drive to the actual trailhead. Instead we parked in the lot where you would turn right to get to the Donut Falls trailhead. It's a .7 mile walk on a road to the trailhead.
This is a very kid friendly hike. I know this, because 1: it's a short trail with not that much of vert gained and 2: there are A LOT of kids on this trail. Can't really get frustrated because it's good that their parents are getting them outside.
Once you reach the waterfall, you will notice that you have to climb/scramble up these wet boulders to get to it. Once you do that, you can crawl inside the cave and get that photo of the water coming through the donut hole.
All in all, this is a very easy hike to waterfall. Just beware that it also a very popular trail and you'll want to go in morning.
Also, a sign said that they close the gate to the actual trailhead in November. So you will have to park where I did on the road and walk up to the trailhead.
