The normal trailhead for the waterfall is 1.5 miles up the Farmington Canyon Road.... which closes every November 1st for winter. So us waterfall chasers are forced to park at the Farmington Creek Trailhead at bottom and walk up the 1.5 miles. We chose to hike the Creek Trail and it was pretty rough and steep. We made first tracks on it after the big snowstorm and it was a lot harder than it has to be. So I recommend just snowshoeing up the Farmington Canyon Road. Beware of snowmobilers, though!

Once you hike the 1.5 miles up the road, you'll see the parking lot where the singletrack trail starts. When we did, there was a USA flag flying! Pretty cool, I think. Anyways, stay on this trail for 1.8 miles all the way to the waterfall. When you get to the waterfall, you'll notice it is down in a deep gorge. Somebody set up a rope to help the descent and ascent. It is a near straight drop off, but it's easier with all the snow.
